Davos, Switzerland to Lake Constance, Germany

Monday 27th July 2020

We woke up in cool but sunny Davos and enjoyed a cooked breakfast before blasting off.

We struck lucky today as Austria lifted some Covid 19 restrictions, which allowed us to enter without quarantining. This meant we could go through Austria and round the eastern end of Lake Constance, a much easier route. Even better luck Austria had cheap fuel at 99c a litre ⛽️

Full of fuel we travelled onto Germany enjoying the sights and arrived at our stopover in Kressbronn. A lovely campsite which luckily had ample spaces and was next to the inviting Lake Constance (Bodensee)

We parked up and plugged in quickly to get the air con on to cool the hotter than hell van, the cab had hit 32°. We then sat out to eat lunch as a Zeplin airship flew right over our van.

We took an afternoon walk around the lake and marina followed by beers in the very German campsite beer garden. Before dinner and while it was still sunny we went for a late afternoon swim with the dogs to cool everyone down.

Overnight Location: Kressbronn, Germany

Overnight Coordinates: 47.58996°N 9.57520°E
