I woke with a hangover from hell, but a lazy morning gave me time to recover before we donned our swimwear and headed to the beach.

Lucy’s inflatable pink flamingo and years old Free Willy joined us on the beach along with one kayak. It was hot, the temperature only read 31 degrees but in direct sun sat on the sand it felt hotter. Luckily the lake was cool so swimming was the only option.

We spent a few hours cooking on the beach and it was only slightly spoilt when Ellie stood on a wasp and got stung, she was very brave, if it had been me the whole of France would have known.

We enjoyed an hours entertainment on the beach while a couple of Turkish looking men tried to erect a tent to keep their totally covered ladies cool, they obviously had never been through the C&CC youth section, it was comical.

After the beach we returned for a quick dip in the pool to wash off sand followed by showers to wash off chlorine.

We made use of our campsite facilities and took the advantage of the laundrette, no point in going home with washing and luckily the bar happened to be next to the laundrette so a quick pint was necessary.

We enjoyed another BBQ and a few beverages, most of us sat in the shade as we had turned red and were a little sore but Dasvid (sun worshipper) sat in the sun till it disappeared.
