Les Sables-d’Olonne to Le Littoral Camping Village, France

Today we checked in to a booked campsite, Le Littoral. A very short drive today saw us arrive at the holiday village and instantly Lucy spotted the swimming pool and huge bouncy castle, exploding with excitement she did not know what to ask to do first.

Our pitch was massive and everything was nearby. Lucy opted to swim first so Neil’s special trucks would make their first appearance, the pool had a no shorts policy we were please this meant trunks and not nude! Even my swimmers got an outing but did not get wet as sitting on the edge was all I could bare. Lucy could have spent hours in the pool but we finally managed to drag her out by promising a go on the giant inflatable play ground.

Before dinner we took Rory for a walk to find the beach, Neil had checked out the campsite map and thought the walk round the whole campsite looked do able. Turned out the map was not to scale and still walking nearly an hour later we were all now more than ready for dinner.

As we deserved our dinner and definitely worked up an apatite we ate in the campsite restaurant, apparently we very lucky to get a table as the waiter insisted it was his last one – the restaurant looked empty but it did later become busier but never looked full.

A live band entertained us into the evening while Lucy made friends in the court yard with the many children who had gathered there.
