Hans Sur Lesse proved a lovely find for day 2 of our tour and not what we expected at all.
The place was heaving when we arrived and we feared we would not get parked especially with a full barrier across the parking entrance. Neil dropped me off to investigate while he circled the village, a kind local young boy who spoke zero English laughed as he showed me the barrier could be moved. Turned out the car spaces were full but the Motorhome area had spaces.
More luck followed as we timed our wildlife park safari bus just right, we purchased a ticket and climbed straight onboard the huge safari hgv land train. We saw wolves, wild boar, bears, cats and more but had no idea what was being said about them as the onboard commentary was in Belgian and French. Would definitely recommend the wildlife park.
The afternoon dog walk found a huge adventure playground and the walk back stumbled across donkey rides, Lucy was a happy girl.
An evening market in the village square really surprised us, tac buying could commence!
After dinner we sat in a nearby beer garden to watch a band ‘The Smooth and The Bully Boys’, they were enthusiastic to say the least. A great night to end a fab day.
